Apartments on a human scale
Mansion House might look incredibly modern, but the concept is quite an old one: small groups of apartments with one shared entrance, so you can enjoy your own space without feeling completely isolated from the rest of the world. You will get to know your neighbours and have a sense of ownership over your shared spaces, like lobbies, hallways and landings.
We’re called Urban Splash for a reason, so every Mansion House will be located in a town or city, with everything that urban living has to offer right on your doorstep.
Light and space
Every single Mansion House apartment has a dual aspect, loads of light, high ceilings and a super generous balcony… these qualities come as standard.
You can then choose between nine different apartment layouts to suit your way
of living; from the simplicity of a completely open plan layout with a stripped back, simple kitchen, to a two-bedroom arrangement with an island or a galley kitchen.
There are nine different configurations in all.
Mansion House build
Mansion House is made of Cross Laminate Timber (CLT). The benefits of CLT over other construction materials, such as steel and concrete, are clear to see.
Each piece of Mansion House is made to order offsite in factory conditions, then transported to site to be assembled. It means that everything is built as accurately as possible and wastage is kept to a minimum, saving time, money and reducing the impact on the environment.
The Radiata Pine is all sourced from Northern Spain, grown in sustainable forests with PEFC certification. Not only does the wood have its own passport, telling us exactly what area and year it comes from, but it’s easy to transport and quick to assemble on site.
Mansion House is unusual in that it uses CLT for the main structure and the finish, but this is also ideal for insulation, retaining heat in the winter and letting the building breath in the summer.
All in all, we’ve got a lot of love for CLT.
Mansion House is launching Saturday 11 May from 10am at New Islington in Manchester.
