You’ll be spoilt for choice with the wide array of food options. There’s the newly-opened Chapter which everyone’s talking about, Michelin-starred Simpsons, Italian deli, restaurant and bar, Laghi’s Deli, Boston Tea Party and Village Kitchen. You can work your way through the extensive wine collection at the multi award-winning Loki Wine. And don’t forget to pick up a gelato ice lolly from LA POP! Plus, with the days getting warmer, it’s the perfect time of year to take advantage of the fantastic beer gardens at Blue Piano, The Physician and The High Field.

Edgbaston is also home to the renowned Birmingham Botanical Gardens. As well as being a beautiful place to relax (with a great play area for the kids) and get to know the local peacocks, the Victorian glasshouses, bandstand and gardens have a full schedule of events for the summer, ranging from art workshops, to outdoor theatre and cinema screenings and live music.

If you’ve just moved into Port Loop and are looking for some interior inspiration, there’s OKA, BoConcept, Neptune and LUX Art Gallery (featuring many local artists) to help you out. Independently-owned, KIN is a favourite of ours, stocking Scandinavian home and lifestyle products; all of which would look fabulous in our newly arrived Row House homes!

And if you want to carry on exploring, there’s four newly-launched blue-plaque walks to help you discover the heritage of Edgbaston and Harborne. If you take the North Edgbaston Walk you can cut back down to Port Loop from Rotton Park Road, head down Gilliot Road and past the reservoir.
