Four things you may not know about how our award-winning homes are created

    12 November 2020

Town House is currently being made at the House factory for our new community ‘Inholm’ at Northstowe in Cambridgeshire. Here’s four things you need to know about our factory built homes...

The House by Urban Splash factory

One — High quality, every time

Building Town House in our factory allows us to achieve higher quality finish than on a building site. Because it’s in regulated conditions (not out in the British weather!) and manufactured, each House is checked and double-checked before it leaves the factory and carefully transported to site.

    Delivering Town House to site

Two — Better for planet and pocket

MMC can reduce construction waste by up to 90% because everyone is in one place; electricians, plumbers, carpenters, etc. meaning there’s less time on site, less noise and less traffic for the local community - in fact, around 67% less energy is required to produce a modular building than an equivalent traditionally built project - so a win-win for everyone!

Town House lets you configure your home to suit your way of life

Three — We make the house, you make the home

Town House is designed by award-winning architects, shedkm, but the final design is configured by you, the homeowner. This way, you get to decide if you prefer ‘loft living’ with your kitchen and main living area on the top floor or the traditional ‘garden living’ with your main living space on the ground floor. Whether it’s your kitchen or master bedroom the top floor with its pitched roof, high ceilings and oversized windows will make the most of the stunning fenland views.

We're now on site at Inholm, Northstowe

Four — We are getting ready for a delivery

The site teams (though much smaller than a traditional building site) still have lots of work to do to get ready for the Town House to be delivered. This week the first foundations were poured on site for 6 new homes on the peninsula ready for delivery in 2021.

The peninsula is the first phase of Inholm. 43 Town Houses, available to reserve and customise yourself, today.
