With its rocky terrain, Bidston Hill is a great spot for adventurous mountain rides.

At its peak, it’s 231 ft high – making it one of the highest vantage points of Wirral with spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding areas – including the 16^th century Grade II listed windmill, Bidston Observatory and Lighthouse.

The Bidston Hill trail explores around 100 acres of heathland and woodland and you’ll find ancient rock carvings along the way.

Recommended by the Marine Conservation Society, Wallasey Beach is an unmissable beauty spot enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.

It’s on the eastern end of the North Wirral Coastal Park, made up of a wide stretch of golden, sandy beach.

You’ll see plenty of water sport activity here – including wind and kite surfing – and you’ll also find a sheltered area of short grassland perfect for picnics away from the breeze and sand.

Enjoy a beautiful 15-minute cycle to Vale Park right along the waterfront from East Float.

This historic, Victorian park, located in New Brighton, features landscaped gardens – including a rose garden and a fairy garden – a bandstand, a children’s play area, a café, annual bedding displays, open grass areas, a kick-about pitch, and outdoor fitness equipment.

During the summer months, Vale Park is a great place to visit to enjoy weekly brass brand concerts too.

Cycle through Birkenhead Park until you reach Thyme Oxton.
