The commuter’s guide to Inholm, Northstowe

10 June 2021

Whether you travel by bike, car, rail, or bus, here’s your guide to commuting from Northstowe

Inholm is our modern, architect-designed neighbourhood set in Northstowe, Cambridge.

With the area’s great transport links – you can commute to exciting cities and nearby towns with ease.

If you’re a regular commuter, and are considering a move to Inholm, here’s a guide to travelling to and from the neighbourhood by home by bike, bus, train, and car.

Inholm is situated just 37 minutes from Cambridge by bike

01 — By bike

From your new home, it would take 37 minutes to reach Cambridge centre, 32 minutes to get to Cambridge Science Park, and just six minutes to arrive at Longstanton Park and Ride.

Your local bike shop, Cyclecentric Ltd, on High Street, Longstanton, is just around the corner. If you need a repair or a brand-new bike – it’s only a 10-minute cycle away (or six minutes in the car).

And remember, your new home is designed with an outdoor, multi-purpose shed – so, you’ll always have extra sheltered space to safely store your bike.

Longstanton Park & Ride is a short walk from Inholm

02 — By bus

It takes 20 minutes to walk to Longstanton Park & Ride – or you could cycle there in six minutes.

A family bus ticket costs as little as £8.50 for up to five people, or if you’re travelling solo, you can get a return for one for £3.

You also get 18-hours free parking at the Park & Ride car parks.

And just an added perk, while you wait for your bus, you might be greeted with the sweet smells of Cambridge Luxury Bakes, situated just round the corner on Britannia Road.

Commute to the capital from Cambridge train station in just 49 minutes

03 — By rail

If you’re commuting to the capital for work, you can get to London’s King Cross in 49 minutes by train from Cambridge North.

Running late? Grab breakfast at the station’s Costa Coffee before you hop onto your train.

We're launching our brand new show homes at Inholm on Saturday 26 June

04 — By car

Travelling to work by car? Cambridge centre is 26 minutes away – but bear in mind, parking in the city can cost up to £30 per day.

Cambridge Science park is 21 minutes away, and you can get onto the A14 in just nine minutes.

There are also two local garages within a six-mile radius – family-run Rampton Motors on The Green and Crossways Garage on Longstanton Road – and your closest petrol station is a 10-minute drive away at Tesco in Bar Hill.

Two big, beautiful Town House show homes open at Inholm on Saturday 26 June. Call Brandon on 01223 867000 or email inholm@housebyurbansplash.co.uk to book your viewing.
