Working from home inside a Town House

13 January 2022

From home offices to hybrid workstations – discover four ways that our spacious Town House homes easily accommodate different types of home working

Having flexible spaces for working from home has never been more important.

No matter how busy family life gets, inside a Town House, you’ll always find a quiet spot to set up your workstation.

There’s enough room for multiple home offices, hybrid workspaces, communal working in the open-plan living area, and homework stations inside bedrooms for your children and teens.

Find a working from home set up that suits your lifestyle, then book a viewing at your nearest show home to get a real feel for the space in person.

Bright and spacious rooms create the perfect environment for working from home

01 — Home office

With Town House, there’s more than enough space to create a home office (or more than one if there are multiple homeworkers in your household).

Bright and spacious rooms create the perfect environment for working from home.

And once you close the door, you can expect the peace and quiet you’ll need to concentrate without interruption.

Our modular homes exceed the UK’s soundproofing standards, not just wall-to-wall, but floor-to-floor too.

Town House homes can be fit out with an additional hybrid workspace in the top floor master suite

02 — Hybrid workspace

If you’d prefer to create a hybrid workspace, there are plenty of opportunities for this too.

At the Port Loop show home, as well as a home office, there’s an additional hybrid workspace located in the top floor master suite.

The space is also used as a chill-out zone with a comfortable couch, a shelving unit, and a place to store your magazines.

Add a mirror to the desk, and storage boxes on the shelves, and you can use this space as a vanity room too.

The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space in Town House is the ideal space for communal working

03 — Communal working

If you’d like to mimic a real office environment, gather all the homeworkers in your household and set up your stations within the same four walls.

The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space is the ideal space for communal working, with more than enough room to spread out whilst enjoying each other’s company.

Several workstations can be set up at the dining table and the kitchen island breakfast bar.

Easily incorporate a multi-functioning homework station inside children and teenagers bedrooms

04 — Homework station

For children and teenagers, you can easily incorporate a multi-functioning homework station inside the bedroom.

In response to the first lockdowns, at our New Islington show home, interior designer, Rachel Thomas, created a middle floor teen room designed for resting, playing, and completing school work at home.

The spacious room was playful, with pink, decorative light sticks, a large clothing rail, and a modular storage unit with a pull-down desk.

When the working day ends, it can easily be folded away creating even more space to play with after school.

Book a viewing at our Manchester, Cambridgeshire or Birmingham show homes, and have a closer look at these beautiful spaces in person.
